ASMO supports the shared goals of and efforts by the MoPH  to stimulate the commercial private sector health provider networks by working together in partnership to help create an improved environment for the rational delivery of quality health services and products throughout Afghanistan. The Project’s main focus in this area is to represent the best interests of private health providers within the larger scope of the provision of quality public health products within Afghanistan.

The Project team nurtures growth and helps to build confidence in the private health sector’s abilities to provide quality care by supporting key professional associations, investing in building local quality pharmaceutical production capacity, and engaging in other strategic public-private sector partnerships that build trust within the MoPH. Our approach to public-private partnerships in health is specifically designed to strengthen public confidence in private health sector providers and producers as partners in providing quality health services through extensive training, competency-based certifications of local producers and pharmaceutical importers, and support for building professional health-related associations as organizing mechanisms and catalysts for continued quality improvements and dialogue between the public and private health sectors.
